About the event
Touch is the first sense to develop in human embryos at 6 weeks, making it our first language. So why has it become absent in many of our relational lives?
In this 2-hour workshop, Lihong and Emelia (Effrontery Movement), in collaboration with Fang Studio, invite you into a consent-first exploration of touch, presence, and sensory awareness.
This workshop is designed for pairs who already know each other and are seeking to expand their touch relationship. It could be a friend, a partner, a family member.
Through somatic practices, guided attunement exercises and a contemplative bowl tea experience, we’ll explore how we meet ourselves, each other, and the environment through the body.
These practices centre our focus on the act of noticing: sensations, desires, boundaries, such that we may offer, receive, allow or negotiate touch with more clarity. We will practise communicating verbally and non verbally.
